WRAL poll: Romney leads Obama in N.C.

A survey released Tuesday by WRAL-TV found that, a week before Election Day, former Massachussets Gov. Mitt Romney leads President Barack Obama, 50 percent to 45 percent in North Carolina.

The Raleigh-Durham TV station's poll, conducted by SurveyUSA, comes on the heels of three other state polls -- released between last Thursday and Monday -- that said the presidential race in the Tar Heel State is neck-and-neck.

That was also the verdict in WRAL's last poll, from four weeks ago. But the one released Tuesday found that Romney had moved into a lead by eliminating Obama's advantage with female voters. They are now tied at 47 percent among women, the poll found.

Romney was ahead among independents and weathier voters, according to WRAL.

Favoring Obama: Young voters.

With early voting in the state underway, the WRAL survey found that Obama leads among people who have already voted (56 percent to 43 percent).

But those who said they plan to vote in Election Day favor Romney, 60 percent to 33 percent.

I can not believe there are women in the 21st century that would vote for Romney when he stands to take women's rights back at least 200 years!

I am 65 years old and don't need birth control or an abortion but I think women should at least have a choice. Why would men even have a say so in these decisions, when was the last time they needed to make a choice on weather to have an abortion or not.

Women stand up for women's rights, don't let men rule your life

The man that really matters in the decision you are reffering too is God. At your age you will meet him sooner instead of later.

Anon 9:36, you are incredibly delusional-and have bought the ridiculous Demo campaign pablum. Your body (and precious "rights") will still be yours.

Sheesh.

take them back 200 years?? you mean when we were still pooping in a hole in the ground and churning our own butter? is this supposed to scare women? i think some of you think you are talking to 8 year old girls not women. surely they are not dumb enough to believe this shitte.

The point that MEN are forgetting is WHY are they having this discussion. Women should be making their own decisions when it comes to ABORTION.

Men we don't want anyone telling us what to do with our bodies so why are we telling women what to do. Are you all part of the TALIBAN? That's what they do to their women.

Over the last two years, Congressional Republicans have forced a 43 percent reduction in the primary FEMA grants that pay for disaster preparedness. Representatives Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor and other House Republicans have repeatedly tried to refuse FEMA's budget requests when disasters are more expensive than predicted, or have demanded that other valuable programs be cut to pay for them. The Ryan budget, which Mr. Romney praised as "an excellent piece of work," would result in severe cutbacks to the agency, as would the Republican-instigated sequester, which would cut disaster relief by 8.2 percent on top of earlier reductions.

Those of you who voted twice for a President who's responsible for over 4,000 American deaths in Iraq...a war based on total LIES...can't possibly think we're naive enough to believe you are pro-life.

Attention: Tolerant folks, be sure to read these posts above again, and ask yourself, why is everyone in the country not one of you.

And why is the country wanting to change from this type of vitriol you have spewed, and have spewed these last four years?

What we need to do is to get people in office who will actually get things done with the help of people, not parties, but people who are out elected leaders. No matter which party the belong to.

And if you come up with that Republicans did not even try to work with them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRwF2X1kKII&feature=share

Women will still have their choice. However, it is not the taxpayer's responsibility to PAY for that choice. Birth control has nothing to do with healthcare.

Hey I know, can you believe that women care more about the economy and jobs and our future as a country over "free" contraceptives.. Those idiot bimbos, how dare they.

Hey, I am voting for the "Commander and Chief" that outed The Navy Seal Team by name that killed Osama and then started taking personal credit for killing Osama himself. This after we know he waited 6 months to make this "tough" decision and he did NOT implement one new plan that lead to this killing, it was years of work including waterboarding that lead us to Osama. So when he called the Navy Seals, they responded and when the Nave Seals called him from rooftops in in Benghazi for extra support, he didn't even bother to pick up the phone and left them to die. This is what cowards do.

The death rates of our soldiers have DOUBLED in Afghanistan since The Appeaser was elected because of the mind numbing and idiotic politically correct rules of engagement. 22 Navy Seals were killed in one helicopter attack after Osama was killed. Think that was coincidence? If you do, then you should not be allowed to vote.

The Arab Spring has been a unmitigated disaster that has seen the rise of the radical Muslim Brotherhood, 100% supported by this White House. Russia and China are laughing at The Appeaser. He has handed Syria crisis over to the inep, corrupt and flaccid UN sidestepping any leadership. Iran is a mere months away from the nuclear bomb. He has openly invited the Muslim Brotherhood into the White along with The New Black Panthers.

His DOJ conducted the murderous FF and now are knee deep in a scandal in Libya that is worse than Watergate while the criminally complicity media completely ignores the death of the ambassador, 2 Navy Seals and one other American.

He promised to reduce the deficit in half instead has delivered 6 trillion more in debt. He promised to have the unemployment under 6% by now. He promised to close Gitmo. He promised open and honest debates on CSPAN about Obamacare. Instead he lied about every aspect of it to get it passed. He promised skyrocketing energy costs and he has delivered.

And what will his second term look like? Lets ask poster number one. I am sure it will one that promotes American greatness and exceptionalism, the very things this con man despises.

The point pro-abortionist miss, is that anti-abortionist believe life begins at conception. Whether you are pro or anti, you live in a country where every LIFE has the right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This means that in this country, you can not and should not take the life of something because it's rights are provided by God and inalienable. Even if you are an atheist, the rights are out lined in the Comstitution. If you want to make the argument that life begins at birth, well I beg to differ. I was just able to listen to the HEARTBEAT of my second child inside my two month pregnant wife. The point anti-abortionist miss is the rape-incest argument. Paul Ryan said that an abortion would then be ok. It's not, due to the reasons mentioned earlier. If we are truly measured by how we treat our poor, weak, and down trodden, then the pro abortion argument is what truly sets us back to savages.
