NC GOP chair: We welcome DNC but ....

The North Carolina Republican Party issued a video response to today's announcement that Charlotte will host the Democratic National Convention in 2012 entitled "Welcome to North Carolina." You can view the video by clicking here:

“We look forward to Charlotte being in the spotlight in 2012, but North Carolinians will not be fooled again by empty promises of 'Hope' and 'Change.'," state Republican Party Chairman Robin Hayes said in a statement.

"Just last November, North Carolinians rejected the failed policies of President Obama and Governor Perdue and elected Republicans to lead the North Carolina State House and State Senate for the first time in over 100 years. We welcome the Democrats to Charlotte, but they must answer for their misguided policies that have led to more debt, more spending and more government.” -- APRIL BETHEA

Now that's funny, coming from the party that gave us a trillion dollars in unfunded tax cuts for the rich, unfunded war in the Middle East, and the Department of Homeland Security, the largest government agency ever created.

And let's not forget that 2/3 of the debt they are complaining about was incurred during 3 Republican administrations.

Robin Hayes has no credibility and republican control of the NC State House and Senate will be but a blip in time.

GOOOO TEAM! I support my party like an NC State fan: in a rabid fashion with total disregard to the reality that my team is horrid. The Dems in NC have led us to the statistical cellar of the USA for 100 years. And it's not a budget problem because their performance was horrid before the economy sagged. Hopefully the GOP here can do something the DNC couldn't after 2008: bring constructive change. Personally, I don't care who's in office as long as they do a good job. As you might guess, I've been sourly disappointed my whole life. But please, save the whole 'us vs. you' routine for sports where it belongs. The Dems may be better when compared to the Reps, or vice versa. My point is, when you say you're better than the other guys, but the other guys ain't crap... that's not saying much.
